Rajinikanth Movie Raana Actress Changed

The project is getting bigger everyday as K.S. Ravikumar doesn’t want to leave any stones unturned. Having endowed with such a big offer, the filmmaker is hoping to strike with the best spell now. Produced by Orcher Studios in collaboration with Eros International, the film will be made simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

With Rajnikanth playing three different roles, it has been a never-ending search for the best actresses in town. Deepika Padukone was the first one to be zeroed and later discussions were held with Asin pertaining to this project while Sneha is also reported to join the bandwagon now. We will have to wait for the official confirmations from the producers. The other details are being worked out and an official announcement will be made shortly.

‘RANA’ looks at Rekha

Reacting to the recent media reports that said Madhuri Dixit refused to do the superstar Rajinikanth film ‘Rana’ because she misses her children and wants to fly back to USA at the earliest, the ‘dhak dhak’ girl discloses the truth is something else.

Madhuri has said that she refused ‘Rana’ because she didn’t like the role offered to her. In her official social networking site the Bollywood icon revealed “Would have loved to do a film with Rajinikanth, but the role was that of his sister...need to wait for the right role.”

So there is one more secret out. Rajini - The Rana - has a sister in the film. Meanwhile another story that broke last night said the evergreen Hindi actress Rekha has been contacted to do the elder Rajini’s pair.

Working with Rajini will not be new to Rekha as they have worked together in Hindi films before. In one ‘Phool Bane Aangaray’ they were even paired opposite each other.

Rajini’s Rana inspired by Dasavatharam

Nobody would forget the ten characters played by Kamal Haasan in his magnum opus Dasavatharam. The Kamal-KS Ravi Kumar duo combination broke all the records at the box office, before the Rajini-starrer Enthiran hit the theatres.

Now Kollywood is abuzz that Rajini’s Rana, which is to be directed by KS Ravikumar, has drawn inspiration from Dasavatharam. According to a source, during the discussion about the ten roles and their unique characterization, Kamal and KSR created the best 13 characters and out of 13 they had picked 10 characters suitable for the movie.

The left out 3 characters are said to be the role played by the Rajini in the movie Rana. KSR is very close to both Rajini and Kamal and it is said that this is one more example of their friendship.

Rana to be shot in London

Here’s more info about Rajinikanth’s Rana! In this flick, the Superstar gets to play three different roles and Deepika Padukone will play the love-interest for the young Rajini, reveals a source. The other two roles are being kept a top secret for now and are expected to be released in the days to come.

Further, it has been reported by a certain section of the media that forty percent of the Rana shooting will take place in London and ball has been set rolling for completing all the formalities for the cast and crew to take off to London very soon.

Rajini gets his villain!

Rajinikanth has zeroed in on his villain in Rana! It is none other than Sonu Sood, who played the powerful baddie in Arundathi. His role in Chandramukhi has Oomaiyan was well-appreciated and he has several Hindi and Telugu films to his credit.

According to sources, Sonu’s role in Rana will be very important and meaty. Director KS Ravi Kumar decided on Sonu Sood as he felt only he could do full justice to the role and the Superstar immediately agreed to it, we hear.

Rana is said to be partly set in the historical era and the film is to be produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth.

Rana in Hindi

You just can’t stop looking for more on Rajinikanth’s ‘RANA’. The new super star movie is going to be the closely followed movie all this year and even till mid 2012.

We have more revelation for you. Our sources say the cameraman of ‘Endhiran’ Ratnavelu was in particular held back from committing other films by none other than the Super Star himself. It seems Rajini wanted only Randy to wield the camera for ‘Rana’. That’s a real honour for Ratnavelu indeed.

And more, unlike ‘Endhiran’, the new ‘Rana’ will be shot separately in Hindi as well. ‘Endhiran’ was only dubbed as ‘Robot’ for the Bollywood market. So it is certain that Rajini will dub for the Hindi version himself. ‘Robot’ had someone else as Rajini’s voice.
